BTS To Join South Korean Military And Reorganize In The Next Three Years To Come

BTS also known as the Bangtan Boys, has finally agreed to fulfill their legal duty to perform military service in South Korea.
The group which consist of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, Jungkook. For years now fans have called for the members to be exempt from mandatory service for their contributions to the South Korea economy and country’s reputation.
In South Korea, it is mandatory for every young man to serve in the military for at least two years. The members of the BTS will each serve almost two years in the military.
“Group member Jin will initiate the process as soon as his schedule for his solo release is concluded at the end of this October,” BTS’ management wrote in the statement. “He will then follow the enlistment procedure of the Korean government. Other members of the group plan to carry out their military service based on their own individual plans.”
According to the manager, the group will regroup around 2025 after their services to continue their work.
In Korea, refusing military service is a crime in that carries a possible jail sentence and negative social stigma.
