Portugal professional footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo is at risk of being stripped of Portugal’s captaincy ahead of the country’s game against Switzerland on Tuesday.
According to recent reports from the Guardian, who claims the superstar’s behaviour following Portugal’s 2-1 group game defeat against South Korea has left manager Fernando Santos unimpressed.
The manager of the national team was deeply unimpressed with Cristiano Ronaldo’s behaviour as the superstar left the pitch against South Korea and refused to guarantee that the star player could captain the Portugal national team against Switzerland.
Portugal is preparing for the clash against Switzerland and if they are to progress to the next level, they must put in a much better performance than the one they did against South Korea.
Ronaldo’s attitude, which saw him fume full-time, has not gone down well, and fans will now have to wait to see if the star player will be allowed to continue as the captain of Portugal’s national team.
