Ghanaian midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, according to a report by CIES, has been ranked as the top African U23 dribbler in the world.

The Ghanaian international is behind top stars such as Angelo Gabriel, Jamal Musiala, and Vinicius Junior.

Vinicius Jnr leads the ranking followed by fellow Brazilian, Angelo Gabriel of Santos with 64:2% success and 13:56 min/dribble.

On 19 February 2023, Kudus scored from a free-kick in the 84th minute of a league match against Sparta Rotterdam to earn Ajax a 4–0 victory. After scoring his goal, he paid tribute to fellow Ghanaian footballer, Christian Atsu, who died in the 2023 Turkey–Syria earthquake. He ran to the sideline and removed his Ajax shirt to display a white shirt underneath that read, “RIP Atsu
All but two of his 11 league goals have come in the penalty box. Kudus is a prolific and effective dribbler, using his low centre of gravity as a lever to turn and surge forwards. He averages 16 carries per game in the Eredivisie and an average carry distance of nearly 12 metres — the highest in the Ajax squad.
