Dr. Likee, who is also known as Ras Nene is a Kumawood actor who has been acting for a long time but due to some reasons, he does not get contracts as the other actors do so he made a bad move to smuggle weapons and drugs from Ghana to other African countries.
Despite his recent success as one of the best skit creators in Ghana, he revealed that he went through a rough phase of dangerous life before he landed where he is now. Sharing his story on the Delay Show, the actor disclosed that he was once a truant.
According to Dr. Likee who quit schooling after completing JHS, he started smoking at a tender age. Sharing how he was introduced to smoking, he said whilst he was young, people were sending him on smoking errands.

“I became stubborn because I was earning some money from my scraps trade and the smoking habit made things worse. My mother would sit me down severally to advise me but I wouldn’t listen and gradually I was introduced to wee by a friend.” he continued.
“I used to control the street. I had big men who covered me so I was making a lot more money. I had weapons to scare away customers who had ulterior motives.” he told Delay.
Revealing how he got his name, he said “my boss at that time named me after a notorious criminal in Lagos called Anini. So people could not pronounce it properly and that’s how it became ‘Ras Nene’.”
Delving into his early adult life, Ras Nene said “in my mid-20s, I crossed the Libya desert several times with drugs. I was doing drugs until the early 30s and I became a Yaro. I had boys who worked for me and I only come for my settlements. Smuggling drugs was also part of his dealings.”
