With a star-studded lineup like that ringing in the new year, it’s safe to say that 2023 began on a high note. Let’s look back at Cyrus and Parton’s legendary performances from the night.
Cyrus has countless bangers under her belt, but “Wrecking Ball” is a bonafide fan favorite, making this duet with Parton super special. Parton seamlessly harmonized with Cyrus’ powerful belt, with each verse more powerful than the last.
Cyrus had the crowd in the palm of her hand during the final performance of the night when she said, “Wait, Dolly, I forgot something. I flew from L.A., you flew from Nashville all the way to Miami, and we didn’t even do ‘Jolene.'” Well, Parton couldn’t have that, now could she?
