List of musicians with the most awards throughout their career. some of these people may be dead but their records still exist, and they are still remember in the industry for their achievement.

10. Rihanna

Robyn Rihanna Fenty, is a Barbadian singer, actress, and businesswoman. Born in Saint Michael and raised in Bridgetown, Barbados.

In 2003, Rihanna formed a musical trio with two of her classmates in her home country of Barbados. Without a name or any material, the girl group auditioned with American record producer Evan Rogers, who commented, “The minutes Rihanna walked into the room, it was like the other two girls didn’t exist.

Rihanna’s demo was shipped out to Def Jam Recordings, where Jay Brown, an A&R executive at the record label, was one of the first to hear the demo.

Since the beginning of her career, she has received 496 awards surpassing most of the musicians in the industry. She is the tenth musician to win many awards.

9.  Elvis Presley

Elvis Aaron Presley or simply Elvis, was an American singer and actor. Dubbed the “King of Rock and Roll”, he is regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20the century.

His energized interpretations of songs and sexually provocative performance style, combined with a singularly potent mix of influences across color lines during a transformative era in race relations, led him to both great success and initial controversy.

Presley remains the best-selling solo music artist according to Guinness World Records, with sales estimated by various sources up to 500 million – 1 billion.

Presley holds the records for most songs charting in Billboard’s top 40 (115) and top 100 (152), according to chart statistician Joel Whitburn, 139 according to Presley historian Adam Victor.

Elvis Presley had 526 awards before he died.

8. Ed Sheeran

Edward Christopher Sheeran MBE, is an English singer-songwriter. Born in Halifax, West Yorkshire and raised in Framlingham, Suffolk, he began writing songs around the age of eleven. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project.

Sheeran began recording music in 2004, and at the age of thirteen independently released his first collection of work, titled Spinning singer, Passenger, since he was 15, with the two playing the same gig in Cambridge.

On 19 October 2015, Sheeran received an honorary degree from the University of Suffolk in Ipswich for his “outstanding contribution to music”.

He is the eighth most awarded musician in the world. He has 561 awards.

Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, known professionally as Lady Gaga, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She is known for her image reinventions and musical versatility. Gaga began performing as a teenager, singing at open mic nights and acting in school plays.

Public reception of her music, fashion sense, and persona is polarized. Because of  her influence on modern culture, and her rise to global fame, sociologist Mathieu Deflem of the University of South Carolina has offered a course titled “Lady Gaga and the Sociology of the Fame” since early 2011 with the objective of unraveling “some of the sociologically relevant dimensions of the fame of Lady Gaga”.

Lady Gaga is the seventh musician with the most awards, with total of 566.

6. Whitney Houston

Whitney Elizabeth Houston, was an American singer and actress. Nicknamed “The Voice”, she is one of the bestselling music artists of all time, with sales of over 200 million records worldwide.

Houston has influenced many singers in popular music, and is known for her powerful, soulful vocals and vocal improvisation skills. She is the only artist to have seven consecutive number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, from “Saving All My Love for You” in 1988.

Huston has been regarded as one of the greatest vocalists of all time and a cultural icon. She is also recognized as one of the most influential R&B artists in history.

Huston has 714 awards making her the sixth musician to have such number of awards.

5. Justin Bieber

 

Justin Drew Bieber is a Canadian singer.  Bieber is recognized for his genre-melding musicianship and has played an influential role in modern-day popular music.

He was discovered by American record executive Scooter Braun and signed with RBMG records in 2008, gaining recognition with the release of his debut seven-track EP My World (2009) and soon establishing himself as a teen idol.

Throughout his career, Bieber has sold an estimated 150 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

Bieber is one of the top musicians with many awards, he has 720 awards, making him the fifth musician with the most awards.

4. BTS

BTS , also known as the Bantan Boys, is a South Korean boy band formed in 2010 and debuting in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment. The septet consisting of members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook co-writes and co-producers much of their own material.

Among BTS’ endorsement deals, the group has partnered with Puma beginning in 2015, BTS initially promoted its sportswear as Puma Korea’s brand ambassadors before expanding to become global ambassadors in 2018.

On April 29, 2019, Time magazine named BTS one of the 100 most influential people of the year, labeling them the “Prince of Pop”. Billboard executive Silvio Pietroluongo stated the group was as inflential as the Beatles.

BTS is the fourth person or group to with many awards. BTS has 786 awards since the beginning of their career.

Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. Her discography spans multiple genres and her narrative songwriting often inspired by her personal life, has received critical praise and widespread media coverage. She was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania, Swift moved to Nashville, Tennessee, at age 14 to become a country artist.

She signed a songwriting deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2004 and a recording contract with Big Machine Records in 2005.

Swift has won 11 Grammy Awards (including three for Album of the Year _typing for the most by an artist), an Emmy Award, American Music Awards (the most won by an artist), 29 Billboard Music Awards (the most won by a woman), 58 Guinness World Records, 14 MTV Video Music Awards (including three Video of the Year wins -the most by an act),

Taylor Swift is the third musician in the world with the most awards, she has a total of 867.

2. Beyonce

Beyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. Beyonce performed in various singing and dancing competitions as a child. She rose to fame in the late 1990s as the lead singer of Destiny’s Child Group.

Beyonce’s success has led to her becoming a cultural icon and earning her the nickname “Queen Bey”. Constance Grady wrote for Vox, “The transformation of Beyonce from well-liked pop star to cultural icon came in three phases, punctuated by the self-titled Beyonce album of 2013, 2016’s Lemonade, and 2018’s Homecoming concert at Coachella”.

Beyonce is one of the best-selling music artists of all time. She has 896 awards, making her the first on the list of musicians in the world.

Michael Joseph Jackson was an American singer, songwriter, dancer, an philanthropist. Dubbed the “King of Pop”, he is regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century.

Over  a four-decade career, his contributions to music, dance, and fashion, along with his publicized personal life, made him a global figure in popular culture. Jackson influenced artists across many music genres; through stage and video performances.

Jackson popularized complicated dance moves such as the moonwalk, to which gave the name, as well as the robot.
